- There are a lot more platforms for the audience to watch what they want (Cinema, TV, Youtube, Game Consoles, Hand held devices) = This allows for a Wider and more varied audience range.
- It's become a lot easier to produce content (More software and programs + Youtube uploading) and advertise it to a certain audience (Online Surveys, Common search queries).
- Better quality (Blu-ray, HD and 3D) and it's become a lot easier to stream and record certain programs and series.
- You can now get things like 3D as its more common at both Cinemas and you can also get 3D TVs (Ease of using and obtaining the option to watch in 3D).
- Social Networking has allowed easier communication about particular products (A company can now Tweet or Facebook message about a particular product or service).
As Technology has developed over the years so has the way that the audience can now watch their favourite programs, movies etc with ease, this can be shown by the fact there are new 'Sky' packages being shown on the TV every 10 minutes on one channel or another, it is also now possible for audiences to record things off their TV so that they can watch them at a later date. Over the years they have gone from a few simple channels to a few thousand channels which shows just how much technology has changed over the course of 10 years, We've gotten to the point where we have 3D TV's and 3D Cinema Screenings that make all the other forms of viewing obsolete. A lot of technology has developed alongside the Gaming industry (Make that the 'Money Making Microsoft') and as such they have added things like Netflix and Bing to the Xbox 360 so that people can search up and watch programs and movies whenever they want (Either before or after they have finished Gaming). The appeal of a cinema has gone from just 'A larger screen' to a much more enjoyable event that you can do with family, friends etc thus earning the cinema industry much more attention and profit than before. Newer ways of advertising and newer actors becoming famous via said adverts meaning a lot more movies being made because the bigger movie producers then hire the actors and pump out more decent quality films. My case study can directly relate to this topic as violence has become more common in the recent movie releases for example - Jumper's violence is used as a tool to protect a certain group of people and as a tool to eliminate a group of people that directly conflict with their beliefs, Law Abiding Citizen also uses it violence as a means of justifying an unjust method of the law whereas more modern movies such as Taken 2 are the same sort of ideals (Using violence to protect themselves or to stop a certain group with different ideals or beliefs), this is shown by Liam Neeson's drive to protect his family and himself just like Gerald Butler's drive to try to justify the Law's mistake.
