In all 3 of my films the main protagonist are shown to be arrogant and self assured of their own abilities (Clyde from Law abiding citizen is still confident he can kill everyone even when in prison, David Rice from Jumper is shown to be nervous at first but steadily gains confidence as he decides that he can handle everything alone) whereas the other less important characters all seem to be rather generic, their personalities being bland or they simply aren't shown/depicted very well.
Clyde -
: Prefers solitude
: Bitter attitude
: Hatred for a lot of people/Blames everyone else
: Incredibly smart
: Excercises his power to prove a point
: Adamant on getting revenge
David Rice -
: Shy at first, slowly gaining confidence
: Passionate about his ability
: Over-confident in his ability, not himself
: Just above average intelligence
: Likes to excercise his power without need
: Fights to survive, not by choice
Django -
: Not shown to have any abilty/aptitude for anything at first
: Gains a purpose and fights to achieve it
: Attempting to get revenge, using violence as an excuse
: Fights to survive at first, slowly turns it into a reason to kill instead
: Hatred for a specific group of people
: Exercises his ability to kill at times/unnecassary killing
Media Platforms -
Social Media (Facebook)
- For all my films there is an official facebook page that documents the films progress, news and announcements, this is to widen the range and to get more people to find out about that particular film. Out of all the films that I have chosen, only one of them actively tried to campaign the films popularity to reach higher levels, uploading links and things trying to stimulate the community, they did this by uploading pictures and concept art for the film, music from the film was released 5 days after the movie itself aired and they also asked questions such as "What was your favourite quote?" and "Who was your favourite character and why?", all of this aiming to get a responce from the community. Django Unchained also had the biggest online prescence of all the films, making a fanpage for nearly all the main social media sites, releasing content and information daily leading up to the films release.
Official Websites
TV Trailers (YouTube)
- Each move had a trailer that was shown on TV and was then uploaded either by the public or themselves onto YouTube, one of my films uploaded their trailer onto YouTube before airing it on TV showing that they understand the impact that online marketing and advertising can make on something like this.
