1. How is sport represented in the advert?
In the advert Football is shown to be a spontaneous sport as lots of random players run onto the pitch, this may be a reference to show that almost anyone can play football. It is also shown to be an athletic sport as it shows plenty of well known footballers and a lot of people running to get onto the pitch, since all the players are wearing mainly the same colours it shows that the sport is also very competitive, this is also shown when some of the players start trying to get control of the ball away from the other team/players. The sport is also shown to be about teamwork as many of the players charge to get the ball, some of them lingering behind to presumably cover the sides and the others running straight in to acquire the ball.
2. How does the advert promote Nike's brand values?
It shows that Nike is a reliable brand as many of the players are wearing Nike clothing or boots, this means that their products are of a high quality, they may also be trying to hint that their product may give you the winning advantage. It also shows that Nike is well known amongst current football players, this is shown by most of the players wearing Nike shirts and the Nike banners around the outside of the football pitch.
3. What does the advert use to catch the attention of the viewer?
The advert uses the fast paced music and the bright colours of the players clothes to catch the viewers attention, they have also made the advert a little unusual so that it makes the viewer want to watch the entire thing. They have included a bunch of popular football players to try and entice current football enthusiasts into watching it as well, this works well although if you are not a football enthusiast nor someone who ever watches football then the advert may not appeal that much to you.
4. How does the advert use celebrity and humour to appeal to the audience?
The trailer uses the faces of a few famous footballers to try and draw the people that already know about these people into watching the trailer and thus hopefully buying some Nike equipment. They show the celebrities for only a few seconds each but they show them doing what they are best at/what they are known for so that people can understand why they are being shown a certain player rather than watch the whole scene unfold. They make sure that the celebrities are main focus when they are on-screen by having close up shots of the players face.
Sorry for the amount done, I would do more but I haven't got much time to right now.
